Eternal Return : The universe began from nothing in the pre-Bang Singularity, and it seems to be returning to nothing, like a wind-up clock that is running down, even as it performs an important function. However, the Clockmaker that wound-up this mech-anism is supposed to have existed prior to the Big Bang, which released the pent-up potential of the “spring”, and created space & time. Hence, the program for our reality existed in infinity & eternity. And the cosmic Winder was equivalent to an eternal world-creating deity. So, if the world does indeed return to a state of pure potential, similar to its origin, we may be excused for imagining the cycle as a brief sojourn, destined to return to its origin in the timeless Creator – whatever you take that to be. This is just speculation. Don’t take it too literally.

In view of current Big Bang cosmology, this version of PanDeism implies that the Christ-like Creator sacrificed his eternal existence in order to become temporal. In Christianity though, the Eternal put off immortality on Earth, yet remained eternal in Heaven. That is closer to the PanEnDeism concept of our cosmos as a bubble of time in an ocean of timelessness.

Cosmic Progression from Ø to ∞
EnFormAction in Evolution
The graph below represents how I envision the creative process of EnFormAction as both the driving force and the program for natural selection. EFA is my term for the natural combination of power & laws that result in the production of a succession of new forms & functions over time. Energy is merely random change with no particular goal. Natural laws provide constraints on those aimless accidents to keep the system moving in a positive direction despite the negative effects of Entropy. That upward trend is what I call Enformy, the creation of complex novel forms from simple beginnings. Working together, those natural forces & limits push the evolutionary process into the shape of a 3D flaring horn, or a 2D hockey stick, as in the Cosmic Evolution graphs1.
The horizontal X-axis measures the history of change (Time) from the Big Bang birth from nowhere to it’s predicted demise as the expansion of space approaches infinity, and Entropy draws near to the maximum diffusion of nothingness. The vertical Y-axis illustrates the increase in number & complexity of physical objects (Space) and the emergence of major meta-physical features, noted as Milestones. Unexpectedly, organic Life appeared in the middle of the "life span" of the Cosmos, and may continue in some form until the "heat death" of space & time. Self-Conscious minds (Selves) followed after billions of years of organic development. A few million years later, homo sapiens created a powerful non-physical organism known as Civilization. Within that “global mind”, the methods of Science began to amplify the power of individual human brains. Thus propelled by human ambition, artificial technologies have sparked an acceleration of conscious control over natural forces.
Now we are in the Information Age of computers and artificial intelligence, which should increase the rate of innovation even more. Where we go from here is a matter of speculation. But some envision the emergence of artificial Life and Intelligence to succeed their natural progenitors. That may trigger a “Second Singularity"2, or it may evolve into a hyper-creative super-intelligence when space-time returns to it's womb in infinity-eternity at the Omega Point3.
